Can it continue like this? Probably, yeah

Sales of Pokemon Sun/Pokemon Moon have already teased 2 million copies - and that's in Japan alone!

Usually I'm not a facts-and-figures kinda gal, but the most recent sales of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are pretty astounding…especially considering it still hasn't launched in Europe.

As I'm sure you'll have been hearing for the past several months, Pokemon Sun and Moon are the latest instalments in the Pokemon franchise. Featuring both your usual Pokemon, and now the new Alola region-specific types, the hype has been real.

According to the most recent figures, Sun and Moon sold nearly two million copies in the first three days – and that's just in Japan alone. Mind blown.

No, it's not the best-selling 3DS Pokemon game in history – that actually sits with Pokemon X and Y – it's a pretty epic number. Nintendo has yet to release its own official tally, though I guess they'll do that after the European launch of the game later tonight/tomorrow.

One thing Nintendo doesn't lack is confidence as it's shipped off 10 million copies to retailers worldwide. Considering the amount of chatter and excitement floating around the community, they're in pretty good shape to shift that number

But with the news of an exclusive Switch version of the game floating around, will potential Switch owners still be rushing to buy the game?

Yes, probably. It's Pokemon, for goodness sake.
