How to get Ash-Greninja in Pokemon Sun and Moon - using the free demo
Ash-Greninja

So, the Pokemon Sun and Moon demo is out today. And it's well worth playing, even if you've already made up your mind, pre-ordered the game, and booked November 18th as a holiday.

Why? Because the demo includes a very special Pokemon called Ash-Greninja that can be transferred from the trial version, into the final game.

Here's how to do it.

Step 1 - Finish the demo

The demo will take about half an hour to finish, and includes lots of different things from the full Sun and Moon experience.

You'll get to do battle, use a Z-Move, take photos with your Poke Finder, take part in a trial, and meet plenty of characters from the story.

You'll know the demo is almost over when you go to fight Team Skull Admin Plumeria. This is the final battle of the demo so pay attention and go for broke!

Step 2 - Wait like two months

Okay, now we have to wait until November. What shall we do in the mean time? Read any good books lately?

Okay, it's here. Today's the day. Slam in that cartridge or download the game from the eShop. Now you're ready.

Step 3 - Reload the demo

If you load up the demo after you've already completed it, you'll be able to explore Alola some more.

The first place you should go is to the Pokemon Center. Here, you'll find Professor Kurui. Talk to him, and choose "Send to full version". This will shoot Ash-Greninja to the full version of Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Step 4 - Receive the Pokemon

Well we don't know how to do this bit yet, as we're still waiting on the full game. But if it's anything like X & Y there should be an option on the main menu to receive gifts. Have a poke about until you find your brand new monster.

This cheeky chappy is a powerful critter. His special ability is Battle Bond that means if you defeat a Pokemon, Ash-Greninja will power up its Water Shuriken move.
