The Best Secret Bases in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Many were pleased to hear Secret Bases would be returning to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

In the Ruby and Sapphire remakes you can use these bases to battle and collect items from your Secret Pals, and even set up your own pseudo-Gym.

With over 80 to choose from, it's tough to figure out which one's ideal for you. But fret not, we're here to help.

Here at Pocket Gamer Real Estate, we believe Secret Bases should be easy to travel to, without the hassle of Surfing across sea, or using strange Bikes to find your way home.

The Secret Bases we've chosen can be flown to almost directly once you've found them and have access to HM02 (Fly) and a Pokémon that can use it.

So, without further ado, here are our top property listings in the world of Hoenn:

Secret Meadow

Secret Meadow is just south of Sootopolis City, and can be flown to directly once you've found it. The area consists of six bases in total, each with their own design.

We recommend the top-central one for its two-tier layout, which is pretty neat if you'd like to have a bedroom to heal up in.

Once you've populated the five Secret Bases around you via StreetPass or QR codes, you'll be set for a whole bunch of free goodies and Flags from your neighbours each day.

This is currently the location for the official Pocket Gamer Secret Base!

Route 117

Just to the left of Pokémon Day Care on Route 117 there's a cosy treehouse to move into.

It may not be much, but if you're big into Pokémon breeding this is the place to be.

If you have five Secret Pals with Blissey teams, known for their huge EXP payouts, you'll be able to level up your most recent hatchlings to top tier in mere minutes!

Just a short walk away from Verdanturf Town too, home to a Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, and Pokémon Contest Hall.

The berry patches out front really seal the deal here - you could be growing up to four berries at any one time, with incredibly convenient access.

Route 118

A short walk south-west from Route 118's landing spot, this beachside abode comes with two rooms and a separating corridor - very swish if you're looking to entertain!

It's also just a short bike ride away from the berry garden on Route 123, where you can grow up to 24 berries at once.

Secret Islet

Prefer your own private place in the sun?

The Secret Islet treehouse has a spacious, wide room to store all the bits and bobs you've gathered on your journey, with its very own Fly point on the world map to boot.

Secret Shore

Much like Secret Meadow, Secret Shore can house up to six residents.

It's a bit more spaced out and less lush than Secret Meadow, but if you'd like to scope out more properties there's nothing to lose from looking around.

Route 119

Finally, this quiet little grotto just north of Route 119's landing spot.

There's a patch nearby with room for three berry trees, with easy access to Fortree City's shopping and healing facilities.
