Phoenix Wright returns as Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies is now available on the 3DS eShop

Can you believe it? Somehow, five years passed without sight or sound of Phoenix Wright. It's good to have him back though, isn't it?

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies has launched on the 3DS eShop today across North America and Europe at a price of £19.99 / $29.99.

If you've been eager to get your favourite defence attorney back in your palms, it's good times. Well, maybe.

We've already published our review of Dual Destinies, and it's not as positive as fans would hope for.

"Dual Destinies is disappointing. In general it's more of the same Phoenix Wright we've come to know and love, but the stories and characters are horribly weak," is what we concluded.

If you didn't know already, Dual Destinies sees you playing as defence attorney Phoenix Wright once again. However, you'll also be giving directions to Apollo Justice and a new partner called Athena Cykes.

There's five murder cases in which you'll need to gather evidence at the crime scene, talk to witnesses, and then battle it out in the courtroom for your client.

There's about 20 hours of gameplay in Dual Destinies, which is about average for the games in the series. While the gameplay is very familiar to the series, there are some tweaks that you can read about in our review.
