Konami has released details of PES 2012 3D for Nintendo's 3DS, which will allow you to face off against your buddies via wireless and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection multiplayer and thereby address one of the criticisms we had with last season's outing.

If you prefer putting your skills to the test against computer-controlled opponents, you'll have the opportunity to jump into a Champions League campaign, the franchise's familiar Master League setup, the Become a Legend mode, or some brand-new League and Cup competitions.

PES 2012 3D will let you control the game's superstars using two different control schemes. You can either stick to the 3DS's traditional physical controls or wrap your stylus around the new touchscreen control system.

And, for those of you who like authenticity in your soccer sims, the ability to tinker with the team kits is present and correct.

Unfortunately, a release date for PES 2012 3D on the 3DS is yet to be announced. We will, of course, keep you updated.
