A side-scrolling Pikmin adventure will sprout on 3DS next year

Ever wished Pikmin was a side-scrolling adventure rather than a sprawling RTS? Me neither - but that's exactly what's on its way to 3DS next year.

It's more action-focused than the rather sedate nature of the Pikmin trilogy, and sees you once again take control of Olimar exploring a new planet.

As ever, he'll rely on his Pikmin pals to navigate the world, and each of them will help you in their own unique way. That's just about all we know right now. You can safely expect the Pikmin to function as they have in previous titles though.

The untitled Pikmin 3DS title will launch next year on 3DS. Sorry we can't be any less vague.
