Following the 3DS price cut today, Nintendo's ailing 3D marvel can be found for cheaper than its predecessor, the Nintendo DSi XL.

Amazon is listing the 3DS for £115, while the DSi XL, which launched in early 2010, currently sports a £139.99 price tag. Certain colours of the Nintendo DSi are also priced at £114.70, just 30p cheaper than the 3DS.

The 3DS has seen price cuts all over the net and in retail stores today, while prices going as cheap as £115 at Amazon and Tesco.

If you take your original DSi XL into a Game store, you can trade it in and get a 3DS for just £49.99.

Considering the 3DS launched with a £230 price tag just five months ago, this is perhaps the fastest and most dramatically the games industry has even seen a console drop in price.
