IGN has it on good authority that these are the official tech specs for Nintendo's 3DS, which spits out 3D images without the need for special spectacles.

If true, the specs mean the 3DS is considerably more powerful than the Nintendo DS, and puts the device much closer to the PSP. Of course, the 3DS will need to render everything (on the top screen) twice, for the 3D effect.

It’s hard to get exact specs of the DSi, but here’s what we know: The DSi has two 133 MHz ARM9 processors, while the 3DS packs two 266MHz ARM11 CPUs. The DSi has 16MB of RAM, while the 3DS sports 64MB.

Plus, the device allegedly has 1.5GB of flash storage, where the DSi had a paltry 256MB. This is good news for DSiWare fans: you’ll be able to store loads more downloadable games on your 3DS.

These are rumours, so should be taken with a pinch of salt. But if true, it means the 3DS should be capable of pumping out some pretty brilliant graphics. Then again, you only have to look at Kid Icarus or Metal Gear Solid 3D to know that.
