There’s been all sorts of conjecture about when we’ll get to see the 3DS ahead of Nintendo's September 29th press event, when the big N will reveal all.

But the gig could already be up.

Somebody purporting to be a Gamestop employee claims to have seen the 3DS in the company's database, complete with a shipping date in the US of Monday, November 22nd, with pre-orders starting from September 29th.

Play.com has had a Dragon Ball 3DS game up for pre order since July, the listing for which also includes the tantalising release date of November 11th.

The November 11th rumour is backed up by a former employee of Japanese peripheral manufacturer Keys Factory, who posted a tweet saying that the company's DS peripherals would be available for a November 11th launch.

Shortly after the tweet went live the whole Twitter account disappeared.

Whether you buy into the hype or not, these rumours only confirm what already seems inevitable - a Japan and US release before Christmas.

We’ll have to wait until September 29th to know for sure.
