[UPDATE] Long-awaited indie WiiWare platformer NightSky heading to Nintendo 3DS eShop instead
Darkest before the dawn
[UPDATE: The developer, Nicalis, has got back to us and has confirmed that the upcoming 3DS port will indeed be the original game - but that it's "still as awesome".]
The popular PC platformer NightSky is heading to the Nintendo 3DS, according to a tweet by developer Nicalis.
"NightSky plays really well on the 3DS!" exclaimed Nicalis in one of his tweets, while in a reply to another user, he confirmed NightSky will "be on the eShop, yes. Looks great on the little 3DS screen."
The indie hit was originally lined up for a WiiWare release, but alas, that hasn't come to pass...yet.
Instead, it quickly made a name for itself on the PC, where it won praise for its physics-based platforming and charming art style.
We're not sure if the 3DS version will be a remastering of the original or something new entirely, but we've dropped the developer a line on Twitter to find out more info.
