As
expected, Nintendo has released another new batch of DLC for its Silver Award-winning 3DS platformer,
New Super Mario Bros. 2.
This fresh piece of downloadable content is called the Gold Classics Pack, and it features three new 'Coin Rush' levels.
If you're a long-term fan of Nintendo's fat pipe-loving plumber, you'll probably recognise these new stages. Ninty has taken levels from
Super Mario Bros and
Super Mario Bros. 3 and mashed them together to create new challenges.
For those of you not familiar with
New Super Mario Bros. 2's Coin Rush mode, it boasts a rather simple concept.
You're given a single life and a target number of gold coins to collect (30,000 in this new DLC), and you have to make it through each stage in a timely fashion without falling prey to a stray Goomba.
The good news doesn't stop there, though: this Gold Classics Pack is available to download completely free of charge until January 31st. After that, Nintendo will charge.
