Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham has
confirmed on Twitter that his company is working on a sequel to rock-solid retro platformer
Mutant Mudds.
"Yes,
Mutant Mudds 2 is confirmed," Watsham revealed when pressed for confirmation by a fan of the franchise.
According to Watsham,
Mutant Mudds 2 will be
released on Nintendo's eShop. A release date is yet to be confirmed, but Watsham's hoping the follow-up will appear sometime this year.
Getting physical
Interestingly, Watsham has also been gauging the
Mutant Mudds community's
interest in a physical 3DS cartridge that would house both
Mutant Mudds and
Mutant Mudds 2.
"RT if you would buy a
Mutant Mudds 1 & 2 combo pack on cartridge for 3DS!" he tweeted.
Watsham later revealed that the proposed combo pack had been retweeted 105 times and been 'favourited' ten times.

Mutant Mudds 2 was due for release "this quarter". Renegade Kid informs us that the game does not have such a specific release window at this point. Expect it sometime this year.
