Mega Man Legends 3 'hasn’t been greenlit'

Capcom RPG may not be released

Mega Man Legends 3 'hasn’t been greenlit'

We rejoiced last September when Mega Man Legends 3 was announced. It appears that our jubilations may have been premature.

Talking to Siliconera, Capcom’s community manager Seth Killian has revealed that the game, "hasn’t been greenlit".

"There is a chance that we won’t see the game for real, but we are all crossing our fingers," Killian said. "That’s the real story of game development, they get canceled all the time."

Apparently the team working on the game isn't too happy about the uncertainty. "It’s kind of weird because we were talking about [the possible cancellation] internally and maybe we shouldn’t say that," Killian said.

"It’s sort of a weird message or maybe it will upset some people. And it did actually upset some people."

The Mega Man Legends series takes Mega Man out of his platforming roots and throws him into an action-RPG, with plenty of quests, looting, and worlds to explore.
