Famitsu reveals first Kingdom Hearts 3DS details

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed some new information about the 3DS version of Kingdom Hearts in an interview with Tetsuya Nomura.

It will be a brand new adventure. It’s also positioned as the next official game in the saga, after the current spate of DS and PSP games. In fact, plenty of hints at the game’s content will appear in Nintendo DS game Kingdom Hearts: Re:Coded.

The game’s heroes, Sora and Riku, will be entering new worlds. How about Disney’s latest worlds - Andy’s bedroom or Monstropolis from Pixar’s Toy Story and Monsters Inc? Not in the 3DS game, but Nomura said in an E3 interview, “I will do my best. Maybe one day Pixar characters will be featured in the Kingdom Hearts series.”

You won’t see the 3DS game until E3 2011, as Square Enix is concentrating on the DS game, Re:Coded. This mobile remake is intended for more casual players, and will bundle in elements from the mobile phone game, Coded, the DS game, 358/2 Days, and the PSP game Birth by Sleep.
