High street retailer GAME has announced that it will be the exclusive seller of Square Enix's forthcoming Nintendo 3DS action-RPG Heroes of Ruin when it lands in the UK on June 15th.

The title, which will make full use of the social features packed into Nintendo's latest handheld, sees you take control of a small party of adventurers, who have to traverse diverse environments in search of a cure for a strange curse. Naturally, you won't get far without battling a few enemies.

We've already been hands-on with Heroes of Ruin, so be sure to check that out for further details before you head on over to the GAME website and pre-order a copy of the title for £34.99.

A little bit on the dodgy side

Despite GAME being the "exclusive" retailer for this title, it's actually available to pre-order at a number of other outlets, including Play.com, which is flogging the RPG for a tenner less.

According to a tweet from SavyGamer founder Lewie Procter, though, Play.com appears to have cancelled a number of customer orders.

It's currently unclear exactly what is going on, but we'll keep you posted as soon as fresh info emerges.
