Lots to come...

Fire Emblem Direct: Shadows of Valentia, Warriors, and an un-named Switch title

Just in case you missed it Fire Emblem was announced in a manner of different formats at Nintendo's Fire Emblem Direct a couple of nights back.

You can read our Editor, Glen Fox's, detailed article on the mobile title, Fire Emblem: Heroes right here.

However in the midst of the mobile excitement, we've also got three other titles coming out over the next couple of years: Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Fire Emblem: Warriors, and a so far un-named Fire Emblem game for the Nintendo Switch.

For the first time since 2008, the franchise will be returning to home systems with the Switch, though the experience will obviously be far less restricting. The un-named Switch title won't be arriving until 2018, but hopefully we won't have to wait long to get more information on it.

Fire Emblem: Warriors, a mash-up between the two games, is also being developed for the Switch as well as the New Nintendo 3DS systems. We're expected to have it in our laps in Fall/Autumn 2017.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will also be coming out later this year, and with two new Amiibo figures at that. The game is inspired by the second in the series, Fire Emblem: Gaiden, which release exclusively in Japan. Though it's taken its inspirations, Valentia has been built from the ground up, giving it a cleaner and more updated feel.
