Etrian Odyssey IV takes the long road to Europe, won't arrive until the summer

European JRPG fans were no doubt happy to hear that Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan would cross the pond and come to Europe in the spring.

With that season already upon us, however, NIS America announced that it now planned to publish the 3DS JRPG throughout Europe sometime "this summer".

The reason behind the delay of the Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winner wasn't specified, but Joystiq reports that it will be available for purchase through retail or as a direct download through Nintendo's eShop when it arrives.

Double the fun

As Europeans 3DS owners look forward to the arrival of Etrian Odyssey IV, many Japanese gamers will be waiting on the recently announced release of New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl.

The reboot of the first installment of the popular RPG franchise is slated for a Japanese release on June 27th, although there have been no announcements regarding whether Millennium Girl will be localized for the west or not.

We'll be sure to keep you updated with a firm release date for Etrian Odyssey IV and any announcements of a western localization of Millennium Girl as soon as we have them to report.
