Disney Magical World celebrates upcoming release with special edition 3DS XL and 2DS in North America

We highly doubt that the eye-catching white 3DS will make its way to the states alongside the launch of Disney Magical World, but - hey - we've been wrong before.
That's what we wrote back in January when we first caught wind of Disney Magical World, and it looks like we were wrong again since Nintendo of America confirmed the special new "Mickey Edition" 3DS XL will make its way to North America on April 11.
Nintendo announced the Mickey Edition by showing off actor G Hannelius sporting the system in the wild. It's a bit small in that picture, so you can click here to see the close-up.
If you're eager to get your hands on the Mickey Edition white 3DS XL, it'll only be available at Wal-Mart and the Nintendo World Store in New York's Rockefeller Center.
2D MickeyThat's not the end of promos for Disney Magical World, however.
For those who prefer 2D over 3D, US-based retailer GameStop has an exclusive "Peach Pink" 2DS that comes with a special Disney Magical World carrying case available for $129.99.
Like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Disney Magical World is an open-world sort of game that lets you start a new life in the Magic Kingdom. Players will interact with fan-favourite Disney characters, go on quests to unlock new content, and manage their own cafes.
