He's done it again. Notorious hacker Jordan "Smealum" Rabet has found a work around to make the 3DS region-free after Nintendo shut down his previous exploit.

Funnily enough, Rabet has used the same game to unlock the 3DS as he did before. Yep, it's Cubic Ninja.

You only need a copy of the game from your own region to proceed with the exploit. However, due to it being used to unlock the 3DS before, copies of Cubic Ninja tend to be quite expensive these days.

Rabet's current method to unlock the 3DS is to use QR codes that he has placed on his website. You scan them, follow the instructions, and then should have "regionFOUR" on your 3DS.

RegionFOUR is what Rabet has called this region-free loader. It should work for the New 3DS models as well as older ones, and the 2DS.

Unlike Rabet's previous exploit, regionFOUR does not allow you to load up and homebrew or pirate software. It only lets you run physical games from other regions.
