Quirky and charming eShop puzzler BoxBoy! is getting a sequel - in Japan at least. The first trailer is above.

BoxBoy: Mou Hito Hako will once again see Qbby unleashing boxes from his bonce to solve tricky conundrums. But this time, he can magic up two boxes at a time.

As you go, you'll grab medals which can be used to grab new costumes, music, and comics. You can also use your costumes from the first game, provided you've still got your save game.

We didn't get a chance to review the first game last year, but it did make our list of the top 3DS games of 2015, and we said it "builds upon a disarmingly simple conceit in increasingly ingenious ways".

No word on an English release, so keep your eye on Nintendo's next Direct for news.
