Lawn Darts? Is someone making this up? We can't imagine big Andy Fordham throwing a few 180s in his back garden in between cucumber sarnies and English Breakfast Teas. Well, we can, but it just doesn't seem right.

Nevertheless, Lawn Darts is a real sport: it involves chucking heavy metal darts into the air, and scoring points if you land them inside two rings. Apparently it's banned in the US and Canada, presumably after one too many youngsters dropped a dart on their dad's foot.

Concrete Software is releasing a much safer mobile game version, called 3D Lawn Darts. And yes, it's got spangly 3D graphics, but that's not the cool thing, which is...

It uses your mobile's camera to aim your throws! You swing the mobile phone in a sweeping motion, and the camera detects the motion and translates it into a perfect (or not) shot in the game. You'll look ridiculous playing it on the train, but it does sound rather fun.

The game's coming out for Windows Mobile smartphones, Pocket PCs and other mobile phones soon. We can't wait to get our hands on it.
