Mobile phones won't just irradiate your mind - they can read it, too, if they've got the mobile phone version of 20Q, which was released this week by I-Play. Based on this Christmas' essential gadget (after the walking robot dinosaur, anyway), 20Q is an adaptation of the electronic gizmo that can guess what object you're thinking of merely by asking you a series of questions.

It's quite unnerving by all accounts, with a high success rate. You think of something - an animal, vegetable or mineral - and 20Q will ask you twenty questions (hence the name) that you must answer truthfully. This capability is recreated in all its grandeur on mobile phone, even down to the cocky quips and put-downs that 20Q will come out with when it guesses correctly.
