100% Games for Girls
Oh you go, gaming girlfriend
It seems mildly inappropriate to suggest that chicks and dudes like different games. Generalisations like that always flag up more inconsistencies than they do similarities.
There are plenty of girl gamers addicted to MMORPGs (check out The Guild for more info on that), and plenty of blokes who only play the occasional puzzle game or mobile sudoku.
But marketing people never discriminate. They don't care about your gender, colour, social status or farmyard preferences - so long as you're buying games, everyone is equal. So when they notice different gaming habits between dudes and chicks, there's good reason to believe they exist, which brings us to this week's 100% Games for Girls list.
Perhaps you won't fit perfectly into our girl gaming pigeonhole, but we'd challenge any pocket gamer to resist the charms of games like Cooking Mama, My Sims or Ms Pac-Man.
You might also be surprised to learn that the target demographic for horror movies is teenage girls, as they go and see more horrors, slashers and jump-scare flicks than anyone else, so it only seems appropriate that we cater for that aspect of female entertainment too (see if you can spot it).
So with that in mind, get your pink, Swarovski-encrusted mobile with charms hanging off every corner and a Justin Timberlake ringtone at the ready, 'cause it's time to go gamin' with the girls.
