Considering the reputation of BlackBerry owners as being somewhat corporate in their outlook - stop checking your email guys! - the strangely-named 10,000 Farkle seems like exactly the sort of game that would appeal.

It's basically a version of poker that uses dice instead of cards.

You have six dice to roll up to ten times in order to try at get the highest worth in terms of combinations such as sequential numbers or as many matching numbers as possible. Any of the dice can be held or re-rolled and your goal is to get to 10,000 point, hence the title.

It's only a single player game, but you can also play against the computer or against a friend in hotseat mode.

You can see how it works in the following video.

10,000 Farkle is available for the BlackBerry Storm, Tour, Bold, and all versions of the Curve with at least OS 4.6. The full list of supported devices are the 8350i, 8520, 8530, 8900, 9000, 9500, 9520, 9530, 9550, 9630, and 9700.

10,000 Farkle is out now. It costs $3.99 or £2.43. Hit the Buy It! link to go direct to BlackBerry App World.
