Sega refuses to confirm target platforms for North American and European release of Phantasy Star Online 2

Still iOS, Android, and PS Vita?

Sega refuses to confirm target platforms for North American and European release of Phantasy Star Online 2

It's probably pretty safe to assume that a lot of you were a tad excited when Sega announced Phantasy Star Online 2 for iOS, Android, and PS Vita back in March.

Unfortunately, Sega is now refusing to confirm target platforms or a release date for the North American and European versions of its forthcoming RPG, which is now scheduled for a PC release in 2013.

"We can't confirm any details about the final platforms for the North American and European versions of PSO2 at this time," a Sega representative told website Joystiq yesterday.

Mobile and portable versions of Phantasy Star Online 2 are expected to hit Japan shortly after the PC version hits store shelves, so any information on the European and US launches of the mobile and portable editions will probably trickle onto the interweb a little after that.

Previously, it was believed that iOS and Android versions of the title would launch sometime this winter, with the Vita version arriving next year. That doesn't look to be the case any more.
