The Pocket Gamer Awards 2016
Here we are, then: the Pocket Gamer Awards 2016.
As they’ve always done, the PG Awards aim to celebrate some of the finest examples of portable gaming.
But this time we made them a little more special. Because in order to celebrate Pocket Gamer’s 10th anniversary (yes, really), we tweaked things a touch.
So, below you’ll find our gorgeous winners (and nominees). These are the titles – reviewed and/or released during 2015 across our core formats covered – you voted as worthy of most praise.
But you’ll also note we have a new trio of ‘PG Legends’ categories. These bad boys are the games, publishers, and developers that have really stood out from the past decade.
We trawled through almost 2,700 of PG’s highest scoring games reviewed from 2006-2016 and picked out the titles we believe best balance historical significance and, of course, the quality of the play experience. (For the publisher/developer categories, we also considered volume, diversity, and consistency of output.)
Again, you then voted in your hundreds of thousands for your favourite titles.
Our congratulations to all finalists and winners. And our thanks to you for taking part.
