Parachute Panic descends onto iPhone
He painted Salford's smokey tops
FDG Entertainment has just dropped us a line (quite literally, in this case) to introduces its forthcoming casual iPhone game, Parachute Panic.
The game involves helping a host of matchstick men deploy their parachutes and then guiding them in for a safe landing without falling into the blades of a passing helicopter, missing the boat and getting eaten by sharks or any of the other obstacles the brazen skydiver might face. Such as not opening your parachute at all.
What's most immediately noticeable about Parachute Panic is its unique graphical style - taking on a superb 'flip book' type line drawing on a bit of old crumpled paper. Although we're told the sound effects and music in the video below aren't final, we actually hope they don't change too much as they're every bit as stylish as the graphics.
The game's still in its alpha phase, but the gameplay video is looking pretty great. Check it out.
