It's iOS vs Android in Overkill’s cross-platform multiplayer tournament
There can be only one
When it comes to mobile first-person shooters, few games can approach the popularity of Craneballs Studios’s Overkill.
With over 10 million downloads across the App Store and Google Play, Overkill is celebrating its cross-platform multiplayer capabilities with a special tournament that pits Apple and Android players against one another.
Outside of bragging rights, Overkill's developers are providing a prize of 1 million Overkill Medals (the in-game currency) which will be spread among the players of the winning platform.
Frag on, you crazy fanboys
The Apple vs Android tournament will launch on Friday, November 23 and continue for seven days.
Those interested in additional details can head over to Overkill's official website, which will also provide real-time status updates for the tournament once it's underway.
Because we have writers on both sides of the Apple and Android battlelines, we will adopt a policy of strict neutrality for this upcoming war - but it seems that the Android players will have their work cut out for them if they hope to overcome the iOS team's overwhelming numbers.
