But the hat decides to stay put

Hats off: Oscar Clark leaves PapayaMobile for Applifier
|

After a year and a half of evangelising on behalf of social platform PapayaMobile, Oscar Clark is to leave the team to take up a similar position at cross-promotion specialist Applifier.

The bad news for Clark, however, is that we've received word that his famous hat – pictured below – won't be joining him.

PR bods working on behalf of PapayaMobile have informed us that "lengthy negotiations" between both Oscar and his hat have failed to convince the latter that he should make the switch too.

'Sick and tired'

Indeed, we've been informed that said hat is now set to take up the "newly created role" of Papaya's Hat-in-Chief.

"Frankly, I'm tired of covering for him - every good game design idea he's had in the last 10 years has been down to me," said the hat.

"Sure, he managed jobs with 3UK, Nvidia and Sony PlayStation, but it was only when I agreed to work with him that his career really took off. As soon as the world sees him naked from the ears upwards they'll see through all his brave talk of freemium this, and social that. I'm sick and tired of it."

Clark – a PocketGamer.biz regular – is yet to comment, though sources tell us he is "rumoured to be in final partnership negotiations with a rather striking Fez as part of his new position."

Thanks to dimoso for serving up the most creative and entertaining bit of PR in 2012 to date.
