One Punch Man: World launches pre-registration ahead of closed beta test
One Punch Man: World seems to be gearing up for a global release as we get nearer to the beginning of its closed beta test. Crunchyroll Games announced the title in July, as a multiplayer action game based on the smash hit anime series and developed by Perfect World. Today, another announcement has dropped as pre-registrations have begun on iOS and Android.
If you haven’t heard about the game before, One Punch Man: World is a 3D action game that is set to launch on mobile and PC with full crossplay support. It features fan-favourite characters such as Genos, Mumen Rider, Silverfang, and of course, the protagonist Saitama, who will be playable in a rather unexpected way.
Players will be able to relive their favourite moments from the show through high-octane battles as they control the characters in challenging fights. The game even allows players to switch sides and experience what it’d be like to be one of the villains, such as breaking out as Carnage Kabuto.
As for the gameplay, players must parry incoming attacks while accumulating power and attacking using special combos. Once there’s enough energy, the heroes can unleash ultimate skills that can easily decimate the opposition.
Completing tasks assigned by the Hero Association will make players stronger as they defend the city with their mates. But it’s not always about fighting in hardcore battles. Players will additionally see what the everyday life of a hero looks like as they can play games at the Arcade Centre or join Saitama in the supermarket during sales.
