Octopath Traveler: Champions of The Continent North American and Canadian closed beta begins today
Octopath Traveler: Champions of The Continent’s closed North American and Canadian beta test has officially begun today. After announcing the release date and beta earlier this month and opening pre-registration, anyone who managed to get lucky enough to get chosen should be able to give it a shot now.
If you manage to get access to it, Champions of The Continent’s beta will give you an early look at the mobile adaptation of the famous JRPG that came out a few years ago. Champions of the Continent is a prequel to the original and will feature new and familiar faces alike. While it’s unclear exactly how much of the full game will be accessible during this beta, it should give you quite a bit of an insider peek at how it will function.
After releasing to stellar acclaim in Japan, Square Enix developed Champions of The Continent to be brought over to the West, and this is the first time we’ve had a chance to get our hands on it and see how it truly plays. Unfortunately, if you didn’t manage to get pre-registrations in during the specified period earlier this month, you’ll be unable to access this beta and will have to wait for the full release.
In the meantime, you can study the numerous trailers released so far or even play the original to get familiar with the setting and understand the story of the prequel fully. Stay tuned to the official Champions of The Continent Twitter handle for more updates, and if you pre-registered earlier this month, be sure to check out your app store of choice and see if you got access!
