Numba casually coming to mobile
Not one for those who loath maths
Not that we can predict the future, but when we drew your attention to CobraMobile's casual gaming site launch last September we did speculate that the titles featured would most likely end up on mobile.
And that's exactly what's happened with Numba, a number-based puzzler. The game features two modes: Classic, in which you play against the clock to level-up; and Puzzle, where you use the core game mechanic to solve puzzles onscreen.
What's the core mechanic? Numbered tiles are generated on a grid and you must highlight and connect a selection of the tiles, resulting in a number chain (or 'Numba Chain'). These chains can be things like '1, 2, 3' (known in-game as a Reverse Run), '2, 4, 8' (Doubling), '1, 5, 9' (Incremental), '2, 4, 6' (Even), and so on.
Once a chain is achieved, it disappears and the space is filled with new numbers.
There are 86 levels to complete during which you'll get to experience the combo system, bonuses, gems and special 'Numba' tiles which can help (or hinder) your progress.
We've actually received review code for Numba, so expect a verdict soon.
