Chillingo and Blue Shadow Games have released Non Flying Soldiers onto the New Zealand App Store, meaning it'll be winging (sorry) its way over to the UK and US from midnight tonight.

You may be thinking to yourself that pretty much every soldier serving in the armed forces around the world has some difficulty flying, but the title doesn't refer to human beings, silly. It refers to flightless birds. Of course.

Fly, my pretties

Each stage sees you assess the "battlefield" (more of an obstacle course), with the aim being to get your assortment of plucky birds to the finishing line without their becoming a bit stuck.

To do this, you're going to have to use a veritable potpourri of tools and tricks to avoid spikes and flames. The more birds you get to the end, the better your medal.

Non Flying Soldiers will be out as a Universal app tomorrow, priced at 69p / 99p.
