Gameloft inks mobile game deal for Night at the Museum 2

Second licensing deal with Fox Mobile

Gameloft inks mobile game deal for Night at the Museum 2

Gameloft has announced that it's bagged the rights to make the official mobile game of Night At The Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian, a film due out in May this year.

The deal was signed with Fox Mobile Entertainment, and is the second time the companies have worked together, following the release of Die Hard 4.0 in 2007.

We missed the original Night at the Museum film, but apparently it grossed more than $500 million in box-office receipts, so even with the law of diminishing returns, it's a potentially lucrative licence for Gameloft.

"Bearing in mind Gameloft's expertise in casual gaming, we are confident this new title will be filled with entertaining and innovative gameplay," says Andrew Stalbow, SVP at Fox Mobile Entertainment.

Something tells us there may be a few platforms involved...
