Eagle Eye mobile movie tie-in announced
Mobile game 'plays a critical role in the movie's storyline'
To coincide with the new Steven Spielberg-produced movie, directed by DJ Caruso and starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Michael Chiklis, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton, Paramount Digital Entertainment has released the official Eagle Eye mobile game.
"It is unique for a mobile device to play a critical role in the movie's storyline, and we're delighted to work with Paramount Digital Entertainment to extend the Eagle Eye experience into the hands of the movie's fans worldwide," said Nicholas Reichenbach, executive vice president of publishing for Magmic Games.
Following the desperate chase of a young couple pursued by a mysterious assailant using everyday technology (such as mobile phones, of course) the game features both puzzle and action elements as you take on the role of the main characters and attempt to diffuse a terrifying plot. Each character in the game has a unique skill set, which requires you to switch between them throughout the game in order to solve various puzzles and defeat the enigmatic enemy.
As well as the mobile release, Eagle Eye has been adapted for BlackBerry and WinMo handsets, so all the lifestyle technology of the movie can take part in the adventure.
