Tomb Raider, Pandemonium breaks out on mobile

Eidos BREWs up two action adventures for phone owners

Tomb Raider, Pandemonium breaks out on mobile

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend and Pandemonium are coming in full 3D to higher-end mobile handsets capable of running BREW games.

Tomb Raider: Legend is the seventh in the 28 million selling series, and Lara's first 3D outing on mobile. Based on the PC and console titles, the game sees the female Indiana Jones engage in back-to-basics dungeon romping.

Legend boasts a new movement system that updates Miss Croft's famously sinewy moves, and new gadgets for her to play with.

Pandemonium, meanwhile, is a platform adventure hybrid starring another heroine, Nikki.

Not to be outdone by her grave robbing cousin, Nikki can shape-change from an invulnerable turtle to a fire-blasting dragon.

"It is quite remarkable to see how far we have come with mobile gaming," says Eidos' Matt Gorman. "When I look at the game running on a console and then on a mobile handset, it's quite apparent that the gap is getting smaller."

No release dates for either game have yet been given.
