Angry Birds: First Person Slingshot is bringing the loveable birdies to your living room on Magic Leap One

Remember Angry Birds? Yeah, of course you do. They had their own movie and everything. Now, remember the Magic Leap? No? Yeah, didn't think so.

Well whatever information your brain currently holds, it isn't stopping VR and AR developer Resolution Games from developing an Angry Birds game for the Magic Leap One, a mixed reality system that's been in development for years and isn't even out yet for us nobodies.

The Angry Birds game, titled Angry Birds: First Person Slingshot, will play much like the rest of the series - you fire annoyed avians at towers of blocks to try and kill pigs. Only this time, it's in your living room, and you're actually (virtually) pulling the slingshot.

From the trailer, it looks like a fairly fun way to play the game. It's certainly a novelty, and not something that has been done for Angry Birds - which is kind of surprising since the birds have appeared in just about every other genre.

If you want to give it a go, you'll need a Magic Leap One headset, which will set you back around $2,300 and is only available in certain parts of the US. Also, the game doesn't come out until later this year, so you'll have to wait for that too.

If you want to play Angry Birds right now, go nuts! You can grab any number of versions of the game on the App Store or Google Play, or you can even play it in Chrome if memory serves. Or just run out, grab a pigeon, and chuck it at a passerby. Then you'll make some new friends at the same time!
