Catch Latias and Latios this September in Pokemon Sun and Moon

Pokemon’s been having quite the year, bringing a pair of the series’ Legendary Pokemon each month to Pokemon Sun and Moon (and their Ultra counterparts). September is just around the corner, and The Pokemon Company has revealed the details for this coming month’s Legendaries. Latias and Latios of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire fame will have the spotlight this month, and they’re getting a few special moves.

If you’re in Europe, you’ll be able to catch Latias and Latios from September 1 - 23 in Pokemon (Ultra) Sun and (Ultra) Moon simply by accessing the Mystery Gift option on the main menu (you’ll need to be connected to the internet to receive the gift). Those in the US have from September 2 - 29 to head to a Best Buy store and get a free code that they can redeem via Mystery Gift.

Pokemon Sun and Ultra Sun players will be getting Latias, while people who own Pokemon Moon or Ultra Moon can catch a Latios. Your Pokemon’s level and moveset varies based on whether or not you have the standard or Ultra version of the game. You can find the full breakdown over on the game’s official site.
