In the world of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, when one event ends, another is sure to follow, and Nintendo has made good on that with Rover’s Garden Safari which begins today, November 11 at 10:00 PM PST, or 6:00 AM for all of you early birds in the UK.

Before this newest event, things had been getting pretty samey in Pocket Camp (I haven’t logged on in a week -- oh dear). Aside from collecting new furniture and seasonal items, all there really was to do was keep plugging away at fulfilling requests. Gardening is a thing now, but even that feels a bit empty.

Not anymore, though. Our old pal Rover is here to bring purpose to our landscaping efforts. You’ll have until January 22 to plant special flowers in your garden that draw rare butterflies. Rover is an avid insect collector, and he’ll want you to turn in any unique butterfly you catch among your flowers in exchange for a limited time item. If there’s a particular type of butterfly that’s eluding you, you can even trade with friends.

Limited-time goals round out the festivities. Completing them will grant you any number of rare treats, including those elusive Leaf Tickets.

What are your thoughts on Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp at this stage? Are you hooked, or is your attention flagging as well? Will Rover’s visit and his bag of goodies draw you back in, or does Nintendo need to take bigger strides to improve Pocket Camp? Let us know in them there comments down below.
