Darkest Dungeon brings the psychological dangers of dungeon crawling to iPad later this month

After Red Hook Studios hinted back in June about their popular RPG coming to iOS, we finally have a definite answer to that question: yes, Darkest Dungeon is releasing on iPad this very month, August 24th.

In their blog post, the developers stated the game will be a premium release, with all the features of its PC and console versions; furthermore, players will be able to transfer their PC saves to iPad through Dropbox. The recent Crimson Court expansion is also coming to iPad later this year.

Darkest Dungeon strips away the heroic glory of dungeon crawling and presents it as mind-rending meatgrinder of nightmarish creatures and darkness; you'll need to balance your warrior's crumbling sanity as they engage in careful resource management and tactical turn-based battles against eldritch monsters.

Darkest Dungeon will be available on iPad on August 24th; you can also find the game on Steam and Vita.
