Updated 8th September, 21:26 PM: The atmospheric point-and-click puzzler Isoland is now available to purchase on iOS.

Grab your copy on the App Store now for 79p/99c.

You can't go wrong with a nice point-and-click game and Dark City-inspired Isoland is one to keep your eye out for as it comes to iOS next week.

Drawing inspiration from Dark City's fantastical Shell Beach (1998), in Isoland you play as a nameless, faceless researcher having received a letter from a friend asking for your help. It's up to you to solve the mysteries of a strange, isolated island - get it? Iso…land. Very clever, indeed.

The whole game appears like a surrealist painting. Each of the hand-drawn environments are a little bit off, both in colour and just the general structure as buildings strain with bowed pillars, and perspectives seem almost claustrophobic in areas.

This quirky puzzler looks like it offers plenty of head-scratching challenges as well as a deep and intriguing storyline to dive into.

Isoland is set to launch on September 8th for 79p/99c. Though the tips for each challenge will be free after watching an advert, apparently there'll be an IAP for getting a full solution for 79p/99c. We'll let you know when the game drops.
