Fallout Shelter gets crafting, new rooms, pets and more in an update coming this week

To say that Fallout Shelter, the mobile spin-off of a massive franchise, was popular is quite the understatement.

After a surprise announcement and immediate release, it ended up making $5.1 million in two weeks. It's also inspiring Bethesda to make new mobile games.

Now Bethesda is ready to add more content into the game with the upcoming 1.4 update.

In it, you'll be able to craft items thanks to a brand new salvage system that will let you recycle your old objects. You'll also have two new rooms that will let you craft weapons and armors.

Because you need cute things to keep you company in your lonely shelter, new dogs and cats have also been added. And you'll even find parrots now!

On top of that, a barbershop lets you customise your dwellers.

Finally, the game now fully simulates the time of day, making it more realistic than before. It's not adding anything to the gameplay but it's a nice touch.

Look for it later this week, probably this Thursday.
