This weekend, we got our first look at Minecraft: Story Mode - the episodic adventure game, from The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games.

Despite the name, this isn't a new mode for Minecraft proper. Instead, it's a standalone, narrative-focused game with a cast of characters and all the usual choices and moral decisions you'd expect from a Telltale game.

The big surprise is the cast list, which is filled with recognisable names from games, movies, and TV.

Hero Jesse is portrayed by Patton Oswalt, and other characters are voiced by Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy (Walking Dead) Corey Feldman, Billy West (Futurama), and Paul Reubens.

The game is all about Jesse and his friends who are infatuated with a group of four adventurers who slayed an Ender Dragon. But when this Order of the Stone goes missing, Jesse and pals set out to find them.

The game will be out this year on iOS and Android.
