Big Indie Pitch runner-up Fallman brings fabulous trampolining to iOS

Fallman is no joke. I mean, it kinda is as it's supposed to be funny, but it is not easy to play.

The idea is to help a trampoline champion from the 1980s to perform fabulous moves while bouncing up and down.

You do this by tapping around the screen to move his arms into various positions while swiping assembles his legs. Using two fingers on the screen makes his whole body rotate to do flips.

The tricky part is doing all this while timing your jumps on the trampoline. You have to tap and hold to have this glamorous moustached hunk crouch in mid-air, and then release as his feet connect with the trampoline for maximum spring.

It ain't easy. Mind you, I have been playing on the large screen of an iPad and I think a smaller screen would be better suited. Plus, my fingers have been trained in typing, not goddamn aerobics.

Anyway, the idea here is to score as many points as possible. All the different tricks you can perform have names and points attached to them. So you can learn the higher scoring ones and get pretty good, I'd imagine.

Despite my failures, Fallman comes across as an amusing if challenging little game. And I love how fabulous this guy is. He seems to know it, too, always keeping a placid expression on his face.

It's easy to see why it came second at our Big Indie Pitch at Slush in 2014. Rightly deserved, I'd say.

You can purchase Fallman for £1.49 / $1.99 on the App Store right now.
