Gameloft has rolled out a big update for the Silver Award-winning military shooter Modern Combat 5 today.

It's also available to download for free for a limited-time. So, if you haven't bought it already, you can save yourself £2.99 / $3.99 right now.

Now, on to that update, as there's a lot to cover here.

First off, there's a new Support class that can drop medical kits to heal allies, and boost their abilities. They can also have teammates spawn where they died (is that a good thing?).

Secondly, every class now has a new weapon tier. And with the Support class comes a completely new Light Machine Gun category.

Not stopping there, Gameloft has introduced a new multiplayer mode called Zone Control. It's like King of the Hill in that you have to capture and defend territories to earn score.

Getting to the end now, new controller support for what Gameloft is calling "standard, form-fitting or extended controller[s]" has been added.

Lastly, character customisation has been packed out with new weapon camos, masks and skills, solo and squad logos, and new kill signs.

As said, you can download Modern Combat 5 on the App Store for free right now.

It's also available on Google Play for £2.99 / $3.99. The update isn't available on Android yet but it should be coming soon.
