Panic Art Studios has returned its gory hack-'n'-slasher Hero Siege to the App Store after removing it last year.

The reason for taking the game down is quite reasonable and not anything too dramatic.

"The game was launched in 2013 December and was taken down at the time iOS 8 came out as we struggled with exporting problems," Elias Viglione, CEO of Panic Art told us.

So, rather than have playing the game on their new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and finding it less than stellar, the studio took it down temporarily.

Now Hero Siege is back, and has been designed to work on these newer, bigger screens. Whether the update alleviates our reviewer's problems with its balancing is yet to be seen, mind.

You can purchase Hero Siege for £2.29 / $2.99 on the App Store right now.
