Flappy Birds Family releases for free on the Amazon Appstore, currently a Fire TV exclusive
It's back!
Flappy Birds Family launched on the Amazon Appstore today, and no, it's not a clone.
The original creator of Flappy Bird, Hanoi-based Dong Nguyen, had spoken previously of bringing Flappy Bird back following his negative experiences with the hugely popular app.
Today, Flappy Bird's return is a reality, but unlike the phone and tablet compatible original, the new Flappy Birds Family is for the Amazon Fire TV.
Instead of tapping a touchscreen to flap their way over and under obstacles, players must use a button on the Amazon Fire TV remote instead.
Additional features in the challenging, "infinite flapper" include competitive multiplayer and more obstacles to evade.
If and when Flappy Birds Family will come to mobile devices has yet to be announced. If you have a Fire TV, though, you can nab Flappy Birds Family now for free on the Amazon Appstore.
If you're looking for more of Nguyen and his studio .GEARS' signature style, but not in the form of Flappy Bird, read up on some hints about his upcoming game.
