Retro-style 2D action-platformer 1001 Spikes will be available for Vita on June 3rd in the US.

It will cost $14.99 from the PlayStation Store and will be a Cross-Buy game (meaning you'll get a copy of the PS4 version AND the Vita version for a single outlay).

There's no word on when 1001 Spikes will be available to the rest of the world yet, mind. And, well, it might be a long while considering that it's being published by Nicalis.

The publisher didn't launch Cave Story on the European eShop until a year and a half after it was made available on the US eShop. Hopefully, we won't see a repeat of that.

Furthermore, there's no new news on the 3DS version of 1001 Spikes. However, Nicalis has said in the very recent past that it will be available for 3DS "soon".

As soon as we know more concrete dates for the European Vita version and the 3DS version of 1001 Spikes, we'll let you know.

In the meantime, Vita players in the US can look forward to playing the game next Tuesday. Lucky blighters.
