Kongregate to publish Game of Thrones Ascent for mobile this spring

Disruptor Beam, the developer of the upcoming strategy RPG Game of Thrones Ascent, has announced a publishing partnership with Kongregate to help bring the game to the App Store and Google Play.

Although there's no specific release date just yet, we've been told to expect the mobile version in the early spring for iOS with a "subsequent release" on Android following closely thereafter.

Game of Thrones Ascent is set in the lands of Westeros just before the death of (spoiler alert!) Jon Arryn. Players take on the role of a nameless noble who pledges allegiance to a house of their choice, and then must undertake quests to help it expand its territory and influence.

Spring is coming

Game of Thrones Ascent started out as a web game in 2013, and saw a huge amount of traffic on Kongregate's web portal - racking up over 10 million play sessions by two million players since launch.

It is not, however, to be confused with Telltale's officially-licensed mobile Game of Thrones mobile title which is also due out sometime this year.

From what we learned about Ascent earlier, it'll transfer all of the content from the Facebook version to the mobile port and players will be able to link up their accounts for cross-platform play.
