French publisher Gameloft has posted a mysterious image on its official Modern Combat Facebook page, which suggests it will soon announce a fifth instalment in its popular Call of Duty-esque mobile franchise.

In the image, a lone figure (possibly a special ops soldier) is shown standing in front of a large warehouse-type structure in a hostile snow-covered environment.

If you look closely at the left-hand side of the image, there appears to be an open doorway and the shadow of another man, too.

Gameloft posted this teaser image alongside the caption "warning: no trespassing", which is also written on a yellow sign in the image itself.

Back in December 2012, a document containing Gameloft's entire 2013 release schedule was leaked across the internet. It featured a game called Modern Combat 5: Last War, which is scheduled to be released in Q4 2013.

According to our sister website Pocket Gamer France, Gameloft could demo its fifth Modern Combat game on iOS during the keynote presentation for a new Apple product in the coming months.

Fingers crossed.
